The Fikes Fresh Report - Vol. 14

October 2026
Fikes Fixed It - Eagles Club

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #34 in Minneapolis has been one of our customers for over a decade! Eagles recently decided to set-up the hand sanitizer stations they had during the pandemic, but ran into an issue.
The dispensers were an older style and they couldn't find the refill cartridges for them. They reached out to us and we replaced their old dispensers with new automatic dispensers, as well as sold them a bulk-fill sanitizer. Not only were we able to hang the new dispensers on the same stands they had, but the bulk-fill option is saving them close to 50% of the cost of the refill cartridges!

Customer Spotlight - Halloween

Many Minnesotans are probably already aware that Anoka is the 'Halloween Capital of the World,' but what sort of activities do local businesses do during October? This month, we are highlighting TWO of our customers in Anoka, The Wheelhouse and Serum's.
The Wheelhouse: Our customer since 2022! Erica from The Wheelhouse said that they really appreciate Fikes' services and they love having clean restrooms! We regularly service their restrooms as well as perform a deep clean on their bar floors.
The Wheelhouse staff plans to dress up for Halloween, as well as hosting live music on their patio throughout October!
Serum's: Our customer since 2021! Gary, the owner of Serum's, is a great person to work with and also enjoys Fikes because he doesn't have to worry about his restrooms!
On Halloween Day, Serum's welcomes their guests to come in wearing Halloween costumes! That night from 9PM-1AM they will also be hosting the ROCK GODZ, an 80s rock tribute band.
If you're around Anoka, whether close to Halloween or not, consider visiting The Wheelhouse and Serum's!
Product Highlight - Hand Sanitizer

Did you know there is a 'correct' way to use hand sanitizer?
The World Health Organization says that for alcohol-based sanitizers, they will eliminate germs quickly as long as they are applied in the correct amount. The correct amount is enough dispensed into your palm to completely cover both hands. The sanitizer should then be rubbed in until dry, about 20-30 seconds. If your hands are dry in less than 20 seconds, then you most likely did not dispense the right amount. Be sure to pay particular attention to your fingertips, since that is what you touch most surfaces with!
